Privacy Policy

Chief OS ("Chief OS", "the Service", "we") is operated by Valerie Stramwasser ("the Controller"). This Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights. Questions? Email us at info@vscalemethod.com.
1. Who is responsible
The controller of your data is Valerie Stramwasser. Contact: info@vscalemethod.com.
2. What Google data we access
With your explicit authorization, Chief OS requests the following Google permissions, and only for the features you enable:
- Send Gmail (
gmail.send): send, on your behalf, the emails you compose or approve inside the Service (reports, follow-ups, correspondence). Chief OS does not read your inbox or the contents of your received email. - Google Calendar events (
calendar.events): read and create events on your calendar to show your schedule and book meetings you approve. - App-created files in Google Drive (
drive.file): create and manage only the documents and folders that Chief OS creates at your request. It does not access your existing Drive files. - Identity (
openid, email): your name and email to sign you in.
Outside of the Google APIs, we also collect: data from other tools you connect (e.g. Strety: rocks, scorecard, meetings), the content of your conversations with the assistant and the memory you choose to save, and basic technical usage data to operate and secure the Service.
3. How we use your data
We use your data solely to provide the Service: run the assistant, generate your weekly and quarterly analyses, perform actions you approve (send emails, create events, create documents), and keep your integrations connected. We do not sell your data and do not use it for advertising.
4. Use of Google data (Limited Use)
Chief OS's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. Specifically:
- We do not use Gmail, Calendar, or Drive data for advertising.
- We do not transfer that data to third parties except as necessary to provide or improve the Service with your consent, for security reasons, or when required by law.
- We do not allow humans to read your Google data, except with your explicit consent, for security (e.g., investigating abuse), to comply with the law, or for aggregated and anonymized data.
- We only use that data for the Service features you enable.
AI models (no training)
Chief OS uses artificial-intelligence models from Anthropic (Claude) to process your requests in real time. User data received from Google Workspace APIs is not used —by Chief OS or by its AI providers— to develop, improve, or train generalized AI/ML models, beyond responding to your own request within the session. Anthropic does not train its models on data sent through its API.
5. Subprocessors
To operate the Service we rely on providers that process data on our behalf: Supabase (database and authentication), Vercel (hosting), Anthropic (AI models that process your requests in real time; does not train on your data), and Stripe (payments). Each processes your data only to provide its function.
6. Security
Access tokens for your integrations are stored encrypted at rest. We apply access controls and best practices to protect your information, though no system is 100% secure.
7. Retention and deletion
We retain your data while your account is active. You can disconnect any integration at any time, and you can request deletion of your account and data by emailing info@vscalemethod.com.
8. Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data, and revoke integration permissions at any time. To exercise these rights, email info@vscalemethod.com.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Policy. We will post the current version on this page with its update date.
10. Governing law
This Policy is governed by the laws of the United States of America.
